Who can take UOOC courses? Will there be an admission process?

UOOC will be available to anyone with an internet connection, and in general, there will not be an admission process. Students only have to fill in the online form on uts website to request for the enrolment for respective courses.

 

Will certificates be awarded?

Yes. Online learners receive a certificate once he/she completes the online exam for the course.

 

How do you intend to test whether this approach is improving learning?

UTS have assembled faculty members who will collect and analyze data to assess results and the impact UOOC is having on learning. The course includes a utility that allows instructors to track the areas visited by students. We can track when you logged into the course and which section you visited (within the course), by time and date. The time of day is not important but consistent access to the course is required for success. It is good practice to communicate with your instructor often and consistently.

 

How may I apply to study with UOOC?

Simply complete the online signup form. Enrolling will create your unique student record in the UOOC database, allow you to register for courses, and to receive a certificate on successful completion.
